A WILD YEAR!
Four hundred Argentinian children began studying in their new classrooms after our International Networx missionaries built their school in record time at the beginning of 2022. About 60 men, women & children from USA, Ukraine, Russia, Brazil and Argentina united with God to miraculously build the 7,360 sq. ft (680 sq. mt) structure in 35-days.
The war that started in Ukraine at the end of that project catapulted our networking ministry to a new level. Some of our long-term friends needed our help to flee and take refuge in the USA and Europe. I can’t begin to tell all the stories of incredible people I’ve met this year. God led me on a wild journey from Argentina, through Mexico, and across the California border with my dearest Ukrainian friends. After we got them safely settled into Indiana, I continued to serve at Mexico border cities. The stories from those escaping with just a suitcase of their most valuable possessions made me cry buckets of tears. These dear ones can each tell new stories of redeeming love as we close out a terribly difficult year.

As soon as God gave me a green light, I headed to Europe and Ukraine with two suitcases and 3 seasons of clothes. To hear the details of this incredible journey, you better call me for a long talk. Seriously.

While my eyes leaked at every stop, hope grew to see very positive outreaches from Ukrainian Christians to their people. Humanitarian efforts are everyone’s focus! The church is shining, and people are coming to Christ throughout the nation. In one of the churches we built 14-years ago, local political leaders testified to me how God uses them; once they were corrupt, now they are radically changed and serving in the church. This is glorious TRUTH!
The crisis from war is MASSIVE! In Ukraine, many millions are Internally Displaced People (IDPs). In Poland, Europe and Britain, millions more are refugees without permanent housing. For more than 20 years International Networx and our partners have used American-style wood framing methods to build churches, ministry centers and houses. This wasn’t always embraced because they typically use bricks and tons of concrete. Now, however, I’m hearing even mayors say, “We need new technology, innovation, and fast construction.”
We always used local materials and trained men, giving them new skills. These brothers echo the appeal for better and faster technology. As the country battles weekly to keep its electrical infrastructures operating so people can survive the freezing winter, God is leading our ministry to collaborate with others to create solutions for affordable housing in 2023.
LEVEL ONE SOLUTION
Right now, we and Borkholder Buildings and Supply in Indiana are preparing refugee house kits. We will build frame panels in their factory, load multiple house kits into containers and ship them to Poland and Ukraine.
Once the containers arrive on the other side, we will continue our practice of training local men to assemble the “Lego-like” houses. They will be small, modern, high-quality, long-term, sturdy wood frame houses. They’ll go up very fast and we will gain momentum as we build and train.
LEVEL TWO SOLUTION
Local builders anticipating a super experience with our innovative fast American-style methods, are already asking us to help them create factories. We believe the war will end and people can move forward. We are committing to helping them.
I know from our years of experience that this will not be easy. With God’s help and blessings, we can point to beautiful structures that “were impossible” to build; He will continue to provide and we will remain steadfast.
