Help Belarusian Family Fleeing From Russian War
We’ve loved and worked with Katia since she was a teenage interpreter when our president and CEO lived in Belarus. She, and then her family, always helped orphans. Because of the Russian war, they fled with their family of seven.
On Sunday, May 15, 2022 in the dark of night, the large family quietly crossed into Poland. They carefully said their goodbyes. No Social media or grandiose farewell parties! All forms of communication are monitored. In Belarus, any protests to the war, small or great, are met with severe punishment and imprisonment. They drew no attention to their imminent departure nor their many days of travel and waiting at the Mexican Border.
International Networx welcomes the family after they safely crossed into the USA on asylum on June 9!
We have a network of people helping with logistics as they resettle in Indiana, USA. They left with only THREE suitcases of personal belongings. The finances involved to rent a house, purchase a vehicle, clothes, and other necessities are tremendous.
